About Us
The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (hkfyg.org.hk | m21.hk)

The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) was founded in 1960 and is now the city’s largest youth service organisation. For the last 56 years, it has been committed to serving the youth of Hong Kong through the provision of a variety of services, activities and programmes, which have an annual attendance of over five million. We encourage youth to reach their fullest potential and with community support, we now have over 70 service units. We also have 12 core services, which include the Youth S.P.O.Ts, M21 Multimedia Services, Employment Services, Youth at Risk Services, Counselling Services, Parenting Services, Leadership Training, Volunteer Services, Education Services, Creativity Education and Youth Exchange, Leisure, Cultural and Sports Services, and Research and Publications. We encourage young people to grow into responsible and dutiful citizens and we now have over 190,000 registered volunteers and 450,000 registered members. We believe that our motto HKFYG • Here for You reaffirms our commitment and dedication to the young people of Hong Kong.

The HKFYG Leadership Institute

For the past 17 years, The HKFYG Leadership Institute has been providing comprehensive leadership training for young people aged from 15 to 34, in order to ensure there is a pool of high-quality leaders for the development of Hong Kong for the 21st Century. Nearly 1.3 million training hours for nearly 150,000 local secondary school and university student leaders have been provided. Building on its solid foundation of leadership training, the Federation will revitalise the former Fanling Magistracy into the HKFYG Leadership Institute and establish a new leadership framework consisted of four foundation stones, namely Qualities of Leadership, Competencies for Leadership, Vision to Lead, and Contribution to the Community. By providing professional and multi-disciplinary leadership training, the Institute devotes to nurturing high-caliber young leaders in public, private and social sectors, as well as building an inclusive and cohesive community with leaders committed to social responsibility and ethical behavior.
